Conference Workshop
The main event was our ProCon2026 "I'm a freak'n Web Designer Pro" conference, held at the AC Hotel in downtown Columbus Ohio.
Workshop itinerary:
- Web Designer Pro's SEO and Copywriting guru Michelle Bourbonniere kicked us off with a presentation about "Headline Boost" and how to apply her "what makes a great headline" framework for high-converting website headlines
- My personal financial advisor/planner Juli Damopoulos shared the most important strategies for wealth building and retirement as a web designer
- Sponsors who were present (Jebb from 17hats, Hans from Termageddon and Sam from LocalSEOAcademy) joined me for a live, casual and super fun Q&A session.
- My close colleagues Shannon Mattern and Jason Gracia came up for a live panel discussion to dive further into their 2025 presentations about price anchoring (Shannon) and productizing (Jason)
- We also had a breakout session where we dug into headlines, pricing, what offers we can productize in our businesses and each attendee got to introduce themselves and share a takeaway

I was a web designer for over a decade, built a small but mighty six-figure web studio, and eventually sold it in 2020 to enable me to teach and coach online full-time.
And along the way, I became a Husband, Father of three, including being a Dad to an amazing special needs kiddo, which my wife and I could only have had the freedom and flexibility to care for thanks to the wonderful world of web design and entrepreneurship.
But it all started when I was laid off from my cabinet maker job in 2009...

Before (and after) the official ProCon2026 events, we had several informal meetups and casual member hangs which included breakfasts, dinners, post-dinner fun (🍻), karaoke, and our official community social was a catered event with a KILLER suite at the Columbus Clippers baseball game.
